Hello and thanks for visiting Party Mums. I’m Kirsty, mum of three and founder of Party Mums. Along with our small team of dedicated party enthusiasts, I spend my day's planning, styling and delivering bespoke celebratory events. A dream job for sure! Creating events that are completely tailored around our client's personalities and interests, where anything and everything goes is one of the most rewarding experiences. Creating memories for each client, their family and friends, that last long after the party is over. We absolutely love what we do and we feel very privileged each time a client trusts us with their special event.

Party Mums stemmed from an idea which evolved over many years beginning with the creation of bespoke parties for my own children’s birthdays. Every party that came around, would have more and more time invested into it than the one before, with more details and personal touches being added each time. Each party an improvement on the last. I would spend hours and hours searching for the perfect party prop or party favor that would take our party to the next level. I was able to obtain inspiration and source unusual items from around the world, helped by my career as a Flight Service Manager for long-haul airline Virgin Atlantic Airways, a job I also loved a great deal.

Travelling the skies with Virgin Atlantic for over 20 years, gave me the opportunity to train and deliver some of the best customer service in the travel industry. A career where the focus has always been on the customer and their overall experience. Through years of Upper Class training, I learned the importance of attention to detail and how presentation mattered. Other skills, in addition to working in an environment with limited resources, included being able to work to a restricted time frame and the ability to be able to adapt when circumstances changed. Dealing with flight delays, weather hazards, medical emergencies, engine fires, emergency landings, catering issues, celebrities, celebrations, diversions and much more. I learnt how to think on my feet and make decisions, with the experience of the customer at the very heart of everything I did. You could say it was the perfect training for a party planner!

In 2014, after many years of party planning, Party Mums became a reality. With the help, support and encouragement of my family and friends, I decided to begin focusing on my passion for parties. Today, with my flying wings and uniform fully retired, Party Mums is growing and has become my main focus. As the party planning industry in the UK is still maturing (others including the US and Australia are way ahead), we've made it our mission to lead the way and ensure that Party Mums is helping the UK to take more of a centre stage in the planning and styling world. We believe that our focus on you and ensuring that your party is memorable (for all of the right reasons) long after the event, will help ensure that Party Mums has many years ahead of it creating beautifully styled and perfectly planned boutique parties.

Sim - Unicorn themed 10th birthday

I had been following Party Mums on Instagram for a few months, never knowing that we would get the wonderful chance to work together. 

In 2019 The Tetley wanted to focus on promoting their hireable event spaces for Celebration events to adults and children! Along side the launch of a new events menu we also needed new imagery to market on our website and social media platforms, I thought of Party Mums to set the scenes immediately! I reached out to Kirsty and was over the moon when they wanted to get involved! 

From start to finish her vision, communication and of course the delivery was fantastic! We put together a dinosaur takeover, the backdrop for the buffet was amazing! A Swan Soirée in the the classic Boardroom with afternoon tea stands as gorgeous table centrepieces and a fabulous honeycomb feature in the fireplace; and finally a monochrome 1st birthday celebration with the cutest mini tipi play area, not to forget the mimosa station for the grown ups! 

Kirsty and her helper were the best on the day! They knew exactly what to do, when to do it and in the most perfect places! I can highly recommend Kirsty and her team’s services, they have such a wide range of display items and full of ideas to help inspire you to make your next event and party one the Instagramer’s will be in awe of!

I could not speak highly enough of the service we received from Party Mums. Kirsty's attention to detail, her communication with me, the options budget wise and choice, the timely delivery to us of all the packs (which included helium balloon bunches and weights for all the children's bedrooms, mini lego sets for our 'first to build' party race game, sweets, personalised water bottles etc) meant I could get them to their recipients in good time. It is the best money that I have spent in the last year. If the age old adage "You get what you pay for" is true, then this was a wonderful example. It was worth every penny and more. Thank you Party Mums for making this formula 1 crazy boy and his 'little' friends very, very, happy chappies.
