Winter ‘One’derland first birthday

This Winter ‘One’derland first birthday celebration for David, is classic and timeless. A beautiful event that was cosy and intimate and packed full of love.

When David’s parents first contacted Party Mums to help plan and style their son’s first birthday party, they already knew that they wanted to have a winter themed celebration, due to David’s love of penguins. With a guest list that mainly included adults, due to David’s young age, it was decided early on that a restaurant setting, with a private dining space, would be the most suitable venue. After visiting a variety of spaces in Leeds city centre, this dining space with its large glass windows and cosy lighting, just felt the perfect place to celebrate.

At the entrance to the private space, a beautiful welcome sign display was positioned to greet guests on arrival. With a silver, white and blue balloon garland with snowflake details and a cuddly polar bear at the base, guests could tell straight away that this was a winter themed celebration.

The main focal point in the room was the cake table display. A soft and sparkly floaty table display, with a coordinating balloon garland arch and cute penguins, all sat on top of soft snow faux fur rugs. A silver banner strung across the display with ‘David is one’. The birthday cake was decorated with cute penguins and snowflake details, as were the matching hand made cupcakes.

Guests tables had crisp white linen, twinkling fairy lights and mini vases filled with delicate florals. Everything was subtle and gentle to create a real cosy feeling in the room.

David may not remember any of his first birthday celebrations, but the memories made with his family and friends in that cosy Winter ‘One’derland space, will last forever.
