We had so much to share about this tween party in Leeds, that we couldn't fit it all in to one post! So here are the rest of the details for you to enjoy.

VIP passes were designed and attached to a sparkly, jewelled lanyard, which were given to the birthday girl to distribute to her guests on arrival. The pass allowed access to the VIP entrance of the marquee and really added to the excitement of the party.

Activities and games. Although this was a slightly more grown up party, the birthday girl had made a request for a few party games, but not the usual games of pass the parcel and pin the tail on the donkey. Competitive games are more popular with this age group, so we had a chalkboard with game options listed including the cookie challenge and the smarties game. In the end all the games were played by the guests, but the junk in the trunk game caused the most laughter we're told.

We created a craft station where guests could decorate their own sun catcher. This activity fit the theme well, but also doubled up as a take home party favor too. Just make sure this activity is completed early on in the party, to allow time for the paint to dry.

Food for the party was kept quite simple, pizza and fries which suited everyone and was a great choice to allow the guests to enjoy the low table and relaxed seating arrangement. The self service drinks station was popular too.

For dessert we set up a donut station and a sweetie shop, where guests could help themselves, the mini donut wall looked really effective and the gold letter balloons spelling donuts ensured no one could miss it!

A period of free time was planned into the party after food to allow guests time to enjoy some music, or play their own games. Fez hats and belly dancing skirts were provided for dressing up and dancing to the music.

To quieten things down before the guests left we had set up a milk and cookies station, which was the perfect end to the perfect party.

Party bags in red, purple, blue and black made of organza fabric, tied with ribbon and secured in place with a jewel. Contents included glow in the dark glasses and a ring, flashing glitter bouncy ball, sparkly pen and sweets. Guests also had their sun catcher and VIP lanyard to take with them for nostalgia.

What a truly amazing party and one we would love to plan all over again! We are grateful to have been involved in such a special day.
