Traditional window display that gives you that warm fuzzy feeling.

Pretty much like the majority of 2020, Christmas is going to be a challenging affair this year. Celebrations and gatherings will be much smaller in size and office parties are restricted to online Zoom events at best. As a party planner and event stylist, it’s certainly been a very unusual year! Meeting friends and family is currently a challenge too and can only be an outdoors event and even then, only with a maximum of 6 people. Coffee shops and restaurants are restricted to operate as takeaway services only, so the usual hustle and bustle you would find inside is missing.

Cha Lounge, based in Leeds, is an independent coffee shop that has a zero waste policy, a sustainable ethos and donates 10% of all its profits to charity. It has a very loyal customer following, mainly due to the warm reception each customer receives from its owner Mandeep. With her friendly manner, helpful attitude and infectious laugh, you cannot help but feel brighter the minute you step inside. With delicious homemade curries and yummy vegan breakfasts, you can fill your belly with good stuff and feel happy in the knowledge you’ve helped donate to charity too.

Here at Party Mums we wanted to do something special and give a little back to a business that has supported its local community throughout the pandemic by retaining an incredibly optimistic and positive outlook, full of spirit. Cha lounge was the perfect choice. We planned and styled a beautiful window display that felt nostalgic and warm. Using the traditional Christmas colours of red, gold and green, with touches of plaid and lush green garlands. A miniature sleigh displayed custom made reindeer coffee cups and mini pine cones and vintage ice skates and a lantern surrounded with faux snow completed the display. Custom balloon bauble decorations were displayed across all the windows, which were covered in mini snowflake patterns. A giant balloon cluster in co-ordinating colours created a focal point inside the cafe for customers to see when collecting their takeaways. We hope our Christmas display brings a smile to Mandeep and all her wonderful customers.
