A sophisticated 16th birthday party!

Planning a sweet 16th birthday party can be a tricky task. It's just that awkward age where you cant be too cutesy with your theme or colours, yet too much of a grown up theme can be a real no no. However planning this 16th party was no problem at all, especially when the birthday girl Amirah knew exactly the look she was after.

The plan was a party for both family and friends in a local restaurant with a private function room. Amirah had selected the colour theme for her party, which was a very classy palette of gold, silver and black. The centre point of the room, which was also the dance floor, was filled with balloons floating high above with twisty ribbon tails hanging down. This gave the room texture and colour and a feeling of fun!

The main wall was decorated with gold foil curtains and a backdrop placed in front, with further gold foil curtains and "Happy Birthday" balloons marking the celebration. The dessert table complete with birthday cake, was placed in front of the backdrop, drawing your focus to the back of the room. Huge gold number "16" balloons were placed near the backdrop and completed the look.

Amirah achieved the look she was after by sticking to a colour theme and it totally transformed the room, a very sophisticated 16th birthday party! What a pleasure it was to meet and work with Amirah and her family, we feel so privileged to have been part of her celebration.
