Party trends for 2018.
What party trends can we look forward to in 2018 and which trends from last year will we keep? Well balloons, donut walls and personalised party favors are keepers for sure.
Balloons really are a party staple, so there's no chance of them going anywhere. How they are displayed and used has certainly become much more sophisticated. There are now so many colour options and sizes available that displays of cascading balloons make a real party statement and instead of floating high in the air, balloons are now being used to decorate venues at floor level. Balloon garlands that start outside the venue and continue inside are a real show stopper! Script balloons will remain a party favourite, as will foil number balloons. They're such a simple addition to the party and work great for photos, especially when used with a backdrop.
Donut walls. Who doesn't love a donut wall? They are just so cute and what a great way to display your party treats. You can go with a colour theme, large donuts, mini donuts, big boards, small boards, it's totally up to you. What you might start seeing more of in 2018, is donut walls using perspex stands, giving a more clean line look. Any way you choose to display them works for us, we're just glad they are a trend that's here to stay!
Personalised party favors, especially when it comes to weddings, will continue to be popular. "Bride Tribe" bags, temporary tattoos and glasses are just a few of the most popular choices, with the bride to be's name and date of the wedding detailed on the products. Personalised favors for baby showers will remain too, as baby showers continue to become more and more popular.
So, if theses are the trends that are staying, what new trends can we look forward to? Well lets start by mentioning colour......ultra violet. Yes, you heard us right, ultra violet will be the big colour of 2018. It's a very bold colour but it can be toned down with other colour options as shown in one of Pantones suggested colour palletes. Ultra violet looks great with copper, giving it a real feeling of luxury. For a more simple look, pairing ultra violet with green actually creates a very calming influence and leads us nicely into another one of the trends of 2018. Flowers.
Adding greenery to a party gives a real feeling of texture and brings the outside in. Displays of lavender not only look great but smell gorgeous too and help incorporate the colour of the year. The use of more wild looking flowers, hanging them from the ceiling, creates a rustic look and gives a very english country garden feel and large floral wreaths will create a real party centrepiece. When it comes to using flowers this year, the simpler the better.
Theses are only a few of the predicted trends of 2018, we will have to wait and see how the year parties out to know if they were correct.
Can you predict any party trends?
Happy Tuesday.
